SALESFORCE
Stakeholder Impact Report
In 2024, Salesforce published its annual Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report, which showcased the company's commitment to sustainability, social responsibility, and ethical governance. This case study examines the report's design process, with a particular focus on two significant chapters: Technology and Planet. It emphasizes the careful selection of content, the integration of data visualization, and the report's overall impact in effectively communicating Salesforce's ESG initiatives.

Salesforce presented its ESG report as a microsite last year. However, this year, they switched to a PDF format, which posed challenges in maintaining interactivity and an engaging user experience. The report covers five chapters on different aspects of ESG, and incorporating data visualization into a static PDF was challenging.
The design of the report focused on presenting Salesforce's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives in a clear, coherent, and visually appealing manner. Each spread of the report blended text, images, and data visualization to create a modern and engaging reading experience. Each chapter of the report included visuals, narratives, and insights to help stakeholders better comprehend Salesforce's ESG efforts.
